YOU SHOW THEM THE MOON AND THEY LOOK AT YOUR FINGER
"Edwige's voice (is) a wonderful, peculiar, obliquely beautiful thing. It curves itself round the tones of opera singer, cat purr, wise seductress, vocal trapeze; all with glass-etching clarity and weird ricochets.... (It) zips and kinks like a skidding comet. . And it can carry its eccentricity convincingly as well."
The Voice shoots up to ecstatic heights, hits the stars, ignites them in a wave of flame..."
(Fermina Daza)

I think the ”You Show Them The Moon and they look at your finger “ CD is brilliant ,imaginative, moving ,different , wonderful (Kevin Goldstein-Jackson )

KEEP THE CHANGE
"(Her) unorthodox and uneasily captivating voice, zooming and dodging (a brilliantly coloured, elusive dragonfly) over her baroque, mystical songs. It's more unpredictable now than ever - zigzagging through melodies, it's never quite where you expect it to be. She'll carol, coo, stick you with a sharp note. She'll shiver herself into blocks of eerie harmonies flickering between celestial and discordant; double back on herself, frustrate you, salve you; and finally dissolve into a lovely swarm of voice-clouds."
"Harpsichord and dreampad sounds replace tinny synth presets; gentle bluesy guitars add new body; cellos, Appalachian fiddles and soft saxophones peep out of the corners. "Keep The Change" possesses the nebulous, pine-forest cleanliness of Narada or Windham Hill folk; and if the first album was postcards from Edwige's imagination, "Keep The Change" brings you a breath of her inner countryside."
"Her themes of continuance and connection, of inner illumination and the dispelling of fear, sit in leaf-green settings - "Water "'s puff of baby-Clannad folk, "Reflection's" tinkling Vivaldi pop. Rainmists and mermaids, wind and light permeate the lyrics and the rootsier atmospheres."
"Sometimes Edwige brushes up against the exquisite..."
"Light Energy Love": a sweet, open Love-style melody (specifically, Bryan Maclean's gossamer hums on "Forever Changes") with a champagne tingle of fiddles and guitars"
'The little soul warrior with the effervescing voice isn't going to give up."
(Dann Chinn )

Wherever It Is: One of the most touching melodies I have ever heard coupled with a delicate lyric filled with a resonance so profound it always moves me to tears. The low string (cello) bleeds into the veins of this song with a sublime melancholy, taking me everywhere.

First class. (Mark Vincent - performer songwriter).

Rise and sing

Our Rating:  ********  /10*

One listen to Edwige's "Rise and Sing" (http://www.edwige.co.uk) will set your ears on fire with Edwige's meaningful songs. Like a modern day Joni Mitchell, her passionate delivery and deep feeling for her work will keep her audience tuned in from the album's beginning through the very last track. Songs like "Elegy for You" and "Bad Hair Day" show a level of introspection not often seen in today's music.

She has the ability to reach inside of her listener and pull out a raw emotion. She then shows it to them and returns it, leaving the listener with a new understanding of why it's there and what it means. She does all of this without ever coming across as pretentious as most artists out there today.

Edwige has this hypnotic voice that wraps around me and holds my attention. Songs like "After the Rain" keep me coming back again and again with their melodic music and velvety vocals. When I am done here and I go to write my own music I could only hope to bring to the table what Edwige does. If I could only write with half of the honesty that Edwige brings to her music, I will feel like I succeeded.

"'... your heart wouldn't be but for a love greater than one can ever conceive,' - Edwige
says in 'Time for the Glorious', no doubt it is one of the fundamental ideas that run
through the whole album. 'Fusion' is a rare combination of classic
and contemporary sound, that acts like an everlasting force. It magnetizes you and
then twirls you unconscious into a mysterious dance that's got the only name - love.
There is a light at the end of every tunnel. This music will break the walls
of yours and gently blind you with righteousness. It is true as nature, pure as
sunrise, timeless as love."
